My research is centred around ruminant production. My PhD focused on the impact of animal, management, pasture and environmental factors impacting grass fed beef production and eating quality. It included broad scale survey data analysis alongside controlled trials evaluating intermediary metabolism, stress sensitivity, growth and metabolic changes within muscle.
My current Post Doctoral research investigates globally competitive Australian meat value chains enabled by advanced measurement technologies and integrated feedback systems.
Along with research I teach undergraduate students ruminant nutrition and toxicology.
