About me
I am a clinical research academic that is driven by community-based research. I am a clinical psychologist at the tertiary maternity and gynecological hospital for women and infants in Western Australia, and a Senior Lecturer in the Postgraduate Psychology Program at Murdoch University. Currently I am leading research projects on Childbirth Trauma, Coercive Control in Intimate Partner Relationships, Infant Sleep and Vicarious Trauma among healthcare workers. These Projects involve national and international investigators with the opportunity for collaboration and growth as the Projects develop. I enjoy presenting in international and national contexts and recently led a chapter in the new Handbook of Perinatal Mental Health Disorders. I am committed to the translation of research findings into our community, with Podcast experience, as well as frequent engagement in local settings. I also have experience as a board member in the not-for-profit sector, most recently in education.
