Professor Kris Warren has worked in the field of Wildlife, Zoological and Conservation Medicine for over 20 years and is Section Head of the Conservation Medicine Program at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Murdoch University. Staff and students in the Conservation Medicine Program undertake research on the health of threatened wildlife species within ecological contexts, throughout Australia and internationally, in order to assist recovery efforts to conserve these species. Prof. Warren was appointed to the IUCN/SSC Translocation Specialist Group (formerly Reintroduction Specialist Group) in 2001 and IUCN/SSC Wildlife Health Specialist Group (formerly Veterinary Specialist Group) in 2002. She was appointed as a Diplomate of the European College of Zoological Medicine in the Specialty of Wildlife Population Health in 2011, and as a Member of the Zoological Parks Authority Board for Perth Zoo in 2022.
