About me

Much of my research focuses on Australian women's fiction, especially romance fiction, feminist fiction and chick lit. I have published journal articles and book chapters on Australian romance fiction, rural romance novels, red dirt romance novels and Aboriginal chick lit. I also enjoy researching popular culture such as television shows and films as well as creative practice and pedagogical approaches to creativity.

I specialise in the analysis of media texts, especially literature, inclusive of message formation, reception and interpretation/decoding.
