I am a Senior Lecturer and Higher Education Academy Fellow (FHEA) within the Discipline of Psychology at Murdoch University. I obtained my PhD from Murdoch University in 2014. My PhD project elucidated human pain mechanisms using psychophysical and pharmacological methods. My current research projects investigate pain modulation, the influence of psychosocial factors on pain modulation, the effect of non-invasive brain stimulation on pain, hearing changes in fibromyalgia, condition, healthy aging and pain modulation, and the effect of high glucose and exercise on pain. I supervise PhD, Honours, Graduate Diploma, and Research Placement students in pain-related projects, as well as teaching and coordinating Undergraduate and Postgraduate psychology unit at Murdoch University.
