About me
I am a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Engineering at the School of Engineering and Energy. I am the Academic Chair for the Environmental Engineering major in undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses at Murdoch University.
Since joining Murdoch, I have been teaching and coordinating both undergraduate and postgraduate units, including:
• ENG221 Pollution and Its Control
• ENG341 Water Conservation and Auditing
• ENG573 Integrated Waste Management for Resource Recovery
My current research interests include:
• Development of functional and hierarchically structured materials for desalination, water and wastewater treatment (including adsorption, photocatalysis, membrane separation, etc.)
• Optimization and modelling of water and wastewater treatment processes, monitoring of water quality
• Integrated solid waste management and resource recovery
My research aims to provide reliable and sustainable solutions for water and waste management, through reduced operation cost, lowered energy use, minimized waste generation, and improved treatment efficiency.
