About me
I am a passionate Lecturer at Murdoch University. My primary interests lie in the sciences behind nursing care and nutritional care in nursing, areas I believe are essential for improving patient outcomes and strengthening the nursing curriculum.
Originally from Brazil, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and later earned a Master’s in Physiology, which provided me with a strong foundation in biomedical sciences. In Australia, I completed a Master of Medical Research at Griffith University (Queensland), where I further developed my skills in clinical research, data analysis, and academic writing.
In addition to my academic background, I hold an Australian Registered Nurse qualification and have professional experience in acute and neurological rehabilitation care, which has deepened my understanding of the clinical realities nurses face.
Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Nursing at Murdoch University, focusing on the integration of nutrition education into undergraduate nursing programs. Through this research, I aim to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and nursing practice, equipping future nurses with the skills to provide evidence-based nutrition care as part of holistic patient management.
I am deeply passionate about teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students to connect theoretical science with clinical application. My goal is to contribute to the development of a nursing workforce that is not only clinically skilled but also scientifically knowledgeable.
