About me
Maeve Berry MCPRA is a Lecturer in Strategic Communication and Academic Chair at Murdoch University. Holding a Master of Arts (Public Relations) and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Languages, Maeve is also a Member of Communication and Public Relations Australia (CPRA).
With more than a decade of experience at Murdoch University, Maeve combines academic expertise with extensive industry experience. She is currently undertaking PhD research exploring loss in multiple birth and the case for an Australian communicative support network.
Before joining academia, Maeve founded, developed, and successfully sold a boutique public relations and social media consultancy. This entrepreneurial experience continues to inform her teaching, allowing her to bring practical industry insights and real-world perspectives into the classroom.
Maeve specialises in strategic communication, public relations, and social media strategy, having designed and delivered campaigns for organisations and brands across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Australia. She is passionate about helping students connect theory with practice and develop the skills needed to succeed in the communication profession.
In addition to teaching strategic communication units across Perth, Dubai, and Singapore, Maeve teaches consulting and freelancing, equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to build successful independent careers in the communications industry.
