About me

My research encompasses a board range of research topics in the field of cell and molecular biology. I co-lead the Molecular Therapy Group at the Personalised Medicine Centre (formerly Centre for Molecular Medicine and Innovative Therapeutics) and have taken a leadership role in designing and evaluating novel therapeutic antisense oligonucleotides for a variety of diseases, including childhood dementia and familial hypercholesterolemia. My goal is to expand the application of therapeutic antisense oligonucleotides to various diseases and understanding the mechanisms of antisense oligomer-mediated modulation of gene expression. As a rare disease enthusiast, I am working towards developing antisense therapies for amenable patients.
