About me
I am a marine ecologist with a broad range of interests including marine plant ecology and physiology, coral reef ecology and biological hydrodynamics. I have research experience and expertise in physiology and ecology of marine plants and algae, hydrodynamics of seagrass ecosystems, seagrass rehabilitation.
As well as expertise in marine plants, I have research collaborations in a broad range of tropical and temperate marine topics, including invertebrate and vertebrate biology and wildlife ecology. My research has focused on Perth metropolitan coastal waters, Ningaloo Reef and SE Asia.
Associate Professor in Plant Sciences & Marine Biology at Murdoch University as well as Director of the Coral Bay Research Station, which also operates out of Murdoch. I am currently serving as Dean of the School of Environmental & Conservation Sciences.
