About me

Teaching is one of my passions and nothing is more exciting than teaching marketing. Marketing is fun, creative and exciting. Whether your passion is for people, animals, sports, cars or anything else, it can be combined with marketing to turn your passion into a career. Even if you do not decide on marketing as a career the principles explored in marketing can still increase your chances of success in any other field.

I started my academic career at the North West University in South Africa studying management and law. My post graduate studies focused on Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and I finally completed a PhD in Marketing. Before joining Murdoch University I was employed as a senior lecturer in Marketing and Management at the North West University in Mafikeng, South Africa.

My research interests are consumer behaviour and entrepreneurship, and I have published several articles on student credit use as well as small business and agricultural entrepreneurs. My current research focuses on migrant entrepreneurship and the barriers they face.
