Dr. Rachelle is a dedicated research fellow and lecturer passionate about research translation and multidisciplinary education approaches. With a robust background in physiology and nutrition, Dr. Rachelle serves as the unit coordinator and lecturer for Human Nutritional Physiology.
In addition to her teaching and student engagement efforts, Rachelle is passionate about improving health outcomes for future generations. Her research focuses on improving the understanding of the role of maternal dietary intake during pregnancy on the mother's and child's metabolic health, immune function, and brain development.
She brings extensive experience in various research methodologies, including clinical trials and epidemiology. Her research skills and knowledge include project planning, laboratory and statistical analysis, collating big data, consumer and community engagement, and research translation,
Rachelle's vision is to apply her research and education strategies to support healthy living across all age groups.
