About me
I am Head of Professional Learning and Senior Lecturer at Murdoch. I arrived at Murdoch as Lecturer Professional Learning in June 2019, and my current position since November 2021.
In this role, I lead development and recognition of staff for teaching quality at Murdoch University. I manage our Advance HE accredited Fellowships provisions, consisting of the Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Learning and Teaching, and the Murdoch Fellowship Scheme for Associate Fellow, Fellow, and Senior Fellow. I coordinate and teach the Advanced Certificate. I lead Murdoch's teaching award opportunities: College & Portfolio Awards, VC's Teaching Excellence Awards, and nominations for Australian Awards for University Teaching. I facilitate our annual Murdoch scholarships grants. I consult on a vast range of teaching matters across the university.
I am chair of Murdoch's Accredited Fellowships Advisory Board; member of the DVC E Academic Board, Singapore Academic Board, and Dubai Academic Board; and Deputy Chair of Murdoch's Emerging Technologies Working Group.
My core interests are in curriculum and assessment design; equity, diversity and inclusion in learning success; respect and value for Indigenous ways of being, knowing and doing and respectful and meaningful integration of Indigenous knowledge in teaching.
