I am the Dean and Head of School for the School of Education at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. With a professional background in arts education, I have taught across all levels of schooling and held central positions in public education in Western Australia, particularly in monitoring standards and curriculum development. I have been working in higher education for over 15 years, teaching into undergraduate initial teacher education programs and post-graduate research degrees. Additionally, I am the current president of the Western Australian Institute for Educational Research (WAIER), advocating for and promoting educational research in Western Australia across all educational contexts. My research interests and publications encompass creative practice, education policy, teacher agency, and change. These topics are explored through a variety of national and international contexts.
