About me

I am the Associate Dean (Post-Graduate Research) in the School of Education at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. With a professional background in arts education, I have taught across all levels of schooling and held central positions in public education in Western Australia, particularly in curriculum development and monitoring standards. For over ten years, I have been working in higher education, teaching into undergraduate initial teacher education programs and post-graduate research degrees. I also serves as an academic integrity chair and panel member for Murdoch University, upholding the university’s standards of academic honesty. Additionally, I am the current president of the Western Australian Institute for Educational Research (WAIER), advocating for and promoting educational research in Western Australia across all educational contexts. My research interests and publications encompass creative practice, education policy, teacher agency, and change. These topics are explored through a variety of national and international contexts.
