About me
Siobhán completed her BSc International (Hons) in Chemistry and French at the University of Western Australia (UWA). She then continued her studies at UWA, completing a PhD in carbohydrate chemistry under A/Prof. Keith Stubbs. After her PhD, she headed to Frankfurt. Germany, and joined the Herbicides and Safeners research department at Bayer CropScience as a postdoctoral researcher before returning to Australia to take up a position in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). There she worked as an Education-Focussed academic and obtained her Master of Education (Higher Education with Excellence).
In 2024, she moved to Murdoch University to return to a teaching and research position as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, and Physics.
She has dual research foci on chemistry and STEM education in the tertiary sector and small molecule synthesis.
