About me
I am an accomplished and enthusiastic engineering professional with 20 years’ experience in the Mining and Metals sector, spanning both industry and academe.
My industry work has included both design and operations roles. At Wood (formerly GRD Minproc), I worked as a process modelling engineer, specialising in metallurgical plant design and performance optimisation. At BHP, I worked in a variety of operational and corporate roles in the fields of process and control engineering, risk management and business improvement.
My academic work commenced with the completion of a PhD in Chemical Engineering. This involved a substantial industry research project focused on the leaching process at BHP's Kwinana nickel refinery. Having recently retuned to academe, I am focussing on new industrial research opportunities in the field of process systems engineering.
I am passionate about safety, technology & innovation, continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving.
