About me

Dr Yuval Gurfinkel is a neuroscientist and early career researcher with a focus on investigation of antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) effects and application in neurodegenerative, neuroinflammation and autoimmune diseases. Dr Gurfinkel’s research has resulted in a number of co-authored publication as well as collaborations across research groups internally and abroad. Dr Gurfinkel has a key role in the development of ASOs targeting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and multiple sclerosis genes through preclinical evaluation. Dr Gurfinkel's Post doctoral position and project have been funded through a successful innovator research grant awarded by MNDRA and a Perron Institute collaboration grant that he led.
