Abstract

A novel carbonaceous poly(furfuryl alcohol) membrane with improved chlorine tolerance was successfully fabricated by partially carbonizing a poly(furfuryl alcohol) layer supported on a polysulfone substrate with high-concentration sulfuric acid at room temperature.
