Organisational leadership: concepts, cases and research
Cengage Learning Australia
2012
Abstract
This book presents empirical research, cases and conceptual works on organisational leadership. It is divided into three themes: Leadership and Organisation; International Leadership and Contemporary Issues in Leadership. It begins with the links between leadership and organisational issues such as performance, employee engagement and decision-making. In the second theme, a broader view is expanded upon when it examines how leadership operates within an international context. The final theme focuses on the contemporary issues that may impact on leadership effectiveness such as leadership assessment, gender and organisational culture. The editor and contributors hope that our book provides research materials to fellow researchers, practitioners, students, and others, who are interested in the study of leadership. We have endeavoured to ensure the research, cases and conceptual works presented in this book contribute to an enhanced understanding of leadership and its context within the realm the organisation.
