About me

Associate Professor and drug hypersensitivity research laboratory lead at the Personalised Medicine Centre (PMC), Murdoch University, Western Australia, preceded by 7 years immunopharmacology research at the MRC Centre for Drug Safety Science in the UK. My research is focused on the optimization and combined implementation of in vitro cell culture platforms with multi-omic sequencing to identify the immunogenic potential of new and existing drugs and mechanistically evaluate the potential for immunological parameters to disrupt mechanisms of tolerance and drive adverse drug reactions. I have been successful in attracting both state and nationally competitive research funding and work on projects spanning industry and research to define immunogenic risk of drugs, chemicals, and biologics. I am also currently the chair of the Murdoch EMCR advisory group, deputy state representative for the Australasian Society of Diagnostic Genomics (ASDG), and a member of both the Murdoch PMC senior leadership team and ASCEPT and RCPA national working groups for pharmacogenomics implementation in Australia with a focus on improving drug safety.
