About me
As Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning in the School of IT at Murdoch University, my work centres on academic leadership, teaching, curriculum, and research. Much of my role involves shaping learning environments and institutional practices that value sustained engagement, professional responsibility, and long‑term capability development. I lead and contribute to initiatives that strengthen academic standards while remaining grounded in the realities of student experience and industry expectations. Alongside this leadership work, I supervise and contribute to research, supporting higher degree students and collaborative projects that connect technical depth with practical relevance. While units such as ICT299 Service Management Experience reflect my interest in authentic, work‑integrated learning where students are held accountable for their contribution, attendance, and professional conduct over time, This is just one part of a broader commitment to thoughtful, evidence‑informed academic leadership. My approach emphasises clarity, trust, and consistency, with the aim of building systems that help students, colleagues, and Murdoch to do their best work over time.
