About me
I have been part of the academic team of Murdoch Business School since 2005. I am currently the Academic Chair for Undergraduate Studies.
I have taught a wide range of management and business units across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Organisational Change and Development, Human Resource Management, International Management, Knowledge Management, International Business, International Business Negotiations, and Comparative Corporate Governance. Through my teaching—including coordinating units in the Transnational Education space—I’ve had the privilege of educating and supporting the learning journeys of more than 10,000 students.
With over 25 years of transnational experience in secondary and higher education, business administration, and consultancy across both Australian and Chinese contexts, I bring a deep understanding of cross-cultural management and international business. In recent years, my academic focus has centred on innovative education, sustainability, and international collaboration.
I’ve dedicated my academic career to transforming education into a platform for real-world impact. I don’t just teach—I design immersive, cross-cultural learning experiences that connect classrooms to communities, from our South Street campus to coastal villages overseas.
I embed sustainability and intercultural competence into business education for multidisciplinary students through experiential, project-based, and work-integrated learning. I incorporate approaches such as multimedia, HyFlex, and COIL to enhance learning and teaching, and to prepare globally competent, socially responsible graduates.
Through initiatives like the Eco-Economy Project, I’ve led students in addressing real-world sustainability challenges, blending education with equity, environment, and empowerment. These experiences have enabled students to translate classroom knowledge into impactful, community-based action, particularly in sustainability and development contexts.
My contributions to educational innovation and to enhancing student learning have been recognised at institutional, national, and international levels.
I’m passionate about creating educational environments where students grow, communities thrive, and global partnerships flourish. Whether it’s fostering employability, advancing knowledge, promoting sustainability or social responsibility, my goal is to build futures—not just curricula.
