About me
Dr. Xu is an active researcher with a strong academic foundation and a diverse background spanning academia, industry, and government sectors. Her research focuses on family businesses, particularly in corporate governance, firm performance, CSR/ESG, R&D investment, Cyber risk, and jurisdictional impacts.
Dr. Xu has taught and coordinated a broad range of university units, including Business Analytics, Quantitative Research Methods, Data Analysis and Decision Making, Business Research Methods, and Industry Projects for Business. She brings academic rigour and practical relevance to her teaching, drawing on her interdisciplinary experience.
Her scholarly contributions have been recognised through publications in leading journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Managerial Finance, and Economics & Politics. She serves as an ad hoc reviewer for various international peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences.
Her current research projects investigate ESG strategies, carbon reduction, directorial networks, AI, cybersecurity, reinsurance, and environmental performance, contributing to both theoretical development and practical insights in the field.
Before returning to academia, Dr. Xu held senior leadership roles in industry and government sectors overseas. She remains actively engaged with the academic community as a member of several key professional associations, including the EAA and AFAANZ.
