Murdoch Fellowship Scheme, Learning and Teaching Certificate programs - Review and assessment
2021–2025I review and assess candidates’ readiness against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education, for the attainment of Associate Fellowship and Fellowship through Advance HE. Concomitant with this, I also undertake peer observations of teaching practice, provide written evaluations, and work with a panel of assessors to determine candidates’ success within the Murdoch Learning and Teaching Certificate Scheme.
Visit
2019Invited to present keynote address: ‘Approaching the Threshold: Cosmicism and neocosmicism in the works of H.P. Lovecraft’. In addition, I was also on the discussion panel with Australian composer Larry Sitsky, Lovecraft biographer, scholar and editor S.T. Joshi, and Australian writer, critic and editor Leigh Blackmore.
The event included a performance by Edward Neeman and Eloise Fisher of Larry Sitsky's composition, 'Necronomicon'.
Engagement
2018–2024In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, I developed a robust program of service learning and project management opportunities for students grounded in practice-based learning for the development of transferable skills and professional attributes. Industry partner opportunities included but were not limited to: Domestic and offshore NGOs; State and Federal Government internships, agencies, and departments: Research institutes; University student programs, consultancies, and working groups; and the registered not-for-profit and charities sector.
