2022–2024A multidisciplinary approach was used in this project to investigate the appropriateness of climate change solutions developed for the four selected Southeast Asian cities - Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and the Quezon City within Metro Manila. The project provides details relating to the adequacy of climate policies, the influence of urban warming on city microclimates, and the degree of acceptance of ecosystem-based solutions (EbS). Information regarding existing policies and plans was collated and a detailed Climate Action Plan was prepared. The intent of the plan is to provide a pathway forward aimed at reducing the gaps identified between the current policies and plans developed and their actual implementation – between the theoretical concepts and the actual practice.
