About me

I am a Lecturer in the School of HASS and a Fellow of the Indo-Pacific Research Centre. I teach in History, Politics and across Core units.

My research area is in the Allied war crimes prosecutions of Japanese suspects after the Second World War, particularly in how military officers who did not order or directly take part in a crime were prosecuted under the international criminal law doctrine of command responsibility. I have published on command responsibility trials and was a National Library of Australia Summer Scholar.
