About me

I am a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Murdoch University and the Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science with a research focus on the development of therapeutic antisense oligonucleotides (AOs). I completed my PhD through Murdoch University at the Personalised Medicine Centre (formerly Centre for Molecular Medicine and Innovative Therapeutics, CMMIT) and the Perron Institute as part of the Motor Neurone Disease Research group. My PhD work involved the development of antisense oligonucleotides with therapeutic potential for treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. This work has resulted in three international patents for AO therapies to treat Motor Neurone Disease.
