About me

Wendy Cumming-Potvin (she/her) was born in Canada and is an Associate Professor at Murdoch University in Western Australia. Her research highlights equity, inclusion and digital literacies, with a focus on diversity in gender and sexuality. She has headed a large Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre project, which highlighted the creation of welcoming learning and working environments, including for those who identify as LGBTQA+. Wendy has been an international collaborator on a SSHR funded Canadian study, Supporting Transgender and Gender Minority Youth in Schools. Her work showcases participatory collaborative actions, with her most recent book published by Routledge: LGBTQI+ Allies in Education, Advocacy, Activism and Participatory Collaborative Research. Wendy is currently a co-investigator with a research team from Curtin University on a project which emphasizes queering the curriculum.
