Dr Xiaowen Tian is currently Professor of Management, Murdoch University. After obtaining his PhD from Australian National University in 1999, Xiaowen worked and taught at several universities including National University of Singapore, the University of Nottingham, and Bond University. Xiaowen is the author of four books published in Cambridge University Press, Routledge, and Nova Science Publishers, and has published articles in such journals as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Management International Review, International Business Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Technovation, Organizational Dynamics, International Journal of Manpower, Personnel Review, Higher Education Quarterly, and Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education . Xiaowen's main research interests are in global business, innovation, and related management issues. These management issues include internationalization of firms including SMEs, managerial decision-making, firm innovative behavior and capability development, strategic human resource management, sustainable business and CSR, Asian business cultures and Chinese business, emerging-market multinational enterprises. Xiaowen is currently working on several research projects, including internationalization of SMEs, managerial decision-making, firm innovation and capability development, strategic HRM, sustainable business, emerging-market multinational enterprises, and family business.
