About me

I am an exercise scientist with a background spanning sport science, exercise nutrition, and clinical exercise physiology. As a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Exercise Science at Murdoch University, I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate units and coordinate the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (M1325). My teaching supports students to develop safe, evidence-informed, and professionally defensible approaches to exercise assessment, prescription, and rehabilitation.

My research examines how people respond to exercise, heat and hydration challenges, and physical activity interventions. This work has focused on thermoregulation, fluid balance, exercise in hot environments, rehydration, cooling and heat-acclimation strategies, and monitoring of performance and health responses, with applications in sport, community, occupational, and clinical settings. My collaborative research extends this applied physiology focus into wearable technologies, physical activity behaviour, clinical exercise physiology, and sport performance.
