This unit prepares students for real-world practice as Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs), focusing on professional, legal, ethical, and business aspects of allied health. Through case-based learning and a structured portfolio, students build skills in clinical reasoning, case management, and service delivery. By applying knowledge in realistic scenarios, students develop the confidence and competence to navigate complex healthcare settings and deliver effective, client-centred interventions.
Unit
This unit develops the clinical skills and applied knowledge needed to assess, prescribe, and monitor exercise for clients with cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. Students engage with real-world case scenarios, practicing clinical reasoning, risk stratification, and evidence-based intervention planning. Emphasis is placed on safety, effectiveness, and professional communication in preparation for practicum and future AEP practice.
