About me

I am Dean of the School of Medical, Molecular and Forensic Sciences working with a large team of academics delivering courses in Biomedical Science, Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Laboratory Science, Forensic Biology and Toxicology, Forensic Chemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, and Food Science and Nutrition. I have worked for close to 40 years in Australia, Singapore and the United Kingdom in research, teaching, higher degree student supervision and academic leadership. As a molecular biologist, I have had a broad range of research interests including human leukaemia, canine lymphoma, flea transcriptomics and the role of transposable DNA elements in evolution.
